Young adults pay the highest auto insurance rates because they have the highest rateof vehicle accidents and traffic tickets. As in many states, in the state of Alabama, auto insurance is MANDATORY.
Driving with out insurance can lead to fines up to $500-not including court costs, and even license suspension. Alabama auto insurance law requires motor vehicles on its' roads to be covered by a liability insurance policy.
