Credit Card Options for UA Students

If you are thinking about applying for a credit card, the following is a list of cards that may be suitable for college students.

 

The Alabama Credit Union

The Alabama Credit Union, which is located in the Ferguson center, offers University of Alabama students a Student VISA with an extremely low interest rate of 12.9% and no fees. To take advantage of this low interest rate, students are only required to attend 1 class on the dangers of excessive credit use.

Parents can also take advantage of the Indepence Card, which is a reloadable stored value VISA. This card allows parents and students to exclude certain type of merchants, for example, having a gas only card.
